Who are The CVMA 9-2?
In 2006, while on a deployment to the Middle East, several members of the same unit from Rhode Island realized their desires to maintain a brotherhood once the deployment ended. Combining their common experiences in war with their common desire of riding motorcycles, they became the 9th state in the United States to start a chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
Ten years later, the brotherhood continues to grow and expand, and with that growth comes new ideas and fresh perspective.
In April of 2016, 9-2 stood up with the mission of focusing on the brotherhood that so many Veterans yearn for once their time in service ends. By focusing on that brotherhood, and providing other Veterans in the community the opportunity to share that bond, 9-2 hopes that the estimated 22 deaths per day of Veteran Suicides will begin to decrease. By knowing that there are other Veterans with similar experiences who choose to be brothers instead of statistics, they will understand that there are other options.
Members of 9-2, past and present, will continue to live the motto:
"Vets Helping Vets"
